Vinyl Only #21 mixed by Anton Kubikov

Moscow artist Anton Kubikov started his career in 1994. His music had over 80 releases on vinyl labels such as Kompakt, Force Tracks, Trapez, Salo, MAYAK, Pro-tez, Traum and Freizeitglauben with the project Scsi-9 and under his own name.

He played in one of the first techno clubs in Moscow – “Hermitage”. At the time, Moscow’s club culture was developing rapidly, and he soon became a popular figure in the city. In 1995 he created his own radio show on Russia’s first dance FM radio called “Station”. Until its closure in 2001, “Station” (along with its non-commercial sister station “Substancia”) was the only radio station in Russia devoted exclusively to modern trends in electronic music. In 1997 Kubikov began producing his own tracks. In recent years, his projects “Scsi-9”, “Multipliar” and “Snooker Boy” have become very popular in the Moscow underground electronic scene.

His music had over 80 releases, mainly on German vinyl labels such as Kompakt, Force Tracks, Trapez, Salo, Traum and Freizeitglauben.

In 2005 Anton started his own electronic label – Pro-tez Records – together with Maxim Milyutenko and Ed Vertov. The focus of Pro-tez Records is to work with a wide range of artists who create a wide range of innovative approaches to electronic music that is equally at home on the dance floor as it is in the living room.
